UMKC, one of four of the University of Missouri campuses, is a doctoral research-intensive public university offering traditional and interdisciplinary programs serving more than 14,000 students. Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) is a college program, offered at more than 1,000 colleges and universities across the United States, that prepares young adults to become military officers. In exchange for a paid college education and a guaranteed post-college career, ROTC students commit to serve in the Military after graduation (generally three to four years of Active Duty).
